In the period before the beginning of a lawsuit, before the all-important 'process of discovery,' it may well be that some of the people one is complaining about aren't actually guilty of any wrongdoing.
Before the beginning of the case of 'Alfred Wiggins Jr v. Crossroads Rhode Island, Alias John Doe and Housing Opportunities, Alias John Doe;' I blamed the folks at Rhode Island Housing for something that they didn't do. I regret my error and I hope that this post will set the record straight, once and for all.
"Interrogatory No. 11: Set forth the name and address of each person believed or known by you, or anyone acting on your behalf, to have been an eyewitness or to have any knowledge concerning the incident and events leading to it, including the name of any person having any knowledge concerning the claims set forth in your complaint, specifying each witness's relationship to you and which witnesses are eyewitnesses.
Answer: I don't know the apartment numbers of all the people who lived on the second floor where I lived at the time of the incident (April 10, 2014), but every tenant on the floor saw the bed bug-infested mattress that was put against the wall directly beside my door and the pool of insecticide that lay [in] the middle of our hallway. The pool of insecticide stretched from one end of the hallway to the other, and was so wide that it was nearly impossible for tenants and/or our visitors to avoid stepping into it.
The infested mattress was on the left side of my apartment (#205) as my daughter and I exited the apartment that first day. We saw other neighbors emerge from their apartments as well. When [we] got to the first floor, the maintenance man was at the guard station (where the security camera monitors are) with the security guard at the front door. I believe his name was Andy.
He apologized and told me that the property manger from Crossroads RI, Barbara Gavin, instructed him to leave the mattress beside my door and to put...insecticide in the hallway." - The Answer to Interrogatory No. 11., from the case of 'Alfred W. Wiggins Jr, v. Crossroads RI, Alias John Doe and Housing Opportunities Corporation, Alias John Doe.'
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1 (ESV)
